The Postponement of a Dream

Hello faithful readers. As many of you know, last June I submitted my application to NASA’s astronaut candidate program. This is the program in which one starts if one wants to be an astronaut with NASA. I have been waiting to hear from them as the interviews were supposed to have already started. Well, I just went to check my application status, and it said that the “vacancy has been canceled.”

So, my dream of leaving orbit (or at least getting in to orbit) has been postponed for the time being. I guess it is not much surprise in these trying economic times. This is much better than a rejection letter, that is for sure.
